You can probably even remove the first php script with a line of bash:

shell> for i in `seq 1033 1190`; do mysql test -e “CREATE TABLE t$i (id int) ENGINE=INNODB” ; done;

The ’seq’ command is pretty common on Linux, but not on OS X.

Note I’ve made a small update to the first attached php script. Thanks to Morgan for pointing this out! (Note I moved the connection out of the loop )
